ChemFun Cookie Policy
This policy explains the rules governing the use of cookies and similar technologies on chemfun.eu, particularly in connection with the operation of the website, the WooCommerce store, the shopping cart, forms, security measures and the consent management mechanism.
§1. Key information
The ChemFun website uses cookies and similar technologies necessary for the proper operation of the website, the store, the shopping cart, the ordering process, security measures and the mechanism used to remember the user’s consent settings.
Necessary cookies are activated without additional consent only to the extent required for the operation of the website or for providing a function selected by the user.
Analytics cookies are activated only after the user has given consent, where an analytics tool requiring such consent is active on the website.
In its basic configuration, the ChemFun website does not use marketing, advertising or remarketing cookies. If such tools are introduced in the future, the user will be informed, this policy will be updated and the relevant technologies will be activated only after consent has been obtained.
Refusing analytics or marketing cookies does not restrict basic access to the website, product catalogue, contact details or forms, except for functions directly dependent on an external technology disabled by the user.
§2. Website controller
The controller of the website and of data processed in connection with its operation is:
ChemFun Krzysztof Marek

Questions concerning cookies, privacy or the processing of personal data may be submitted to the Controller using the contact details provided above.
Detailed information concerning the processing of personal data, recipients of personal data and the rights of data subjects is available in the ChemFun Privacy Policy .
§4. Legal basis for using cookies
Information is stored on or accessed from the user’s device in accordance with applicable laws, particularly laws concerning electronic communications.
Necessary cookies may be used without separate consent where they are required to perform a transmission, ensure security or provide a function or service expressly requested by the user.
Other cookies and similar technologies are activated after prior consent has been obtained, where such consent is required by law.
Where information obtained through cookies constitutes personal data, the processing may take place, as appropriate:
- on the basis of the user’s consent, in the case of analytics, marketing or other optional cookies;
- for the performance of a contract or in order to take steps at the user’s request, particularly when operating the shopping cart, checkout and order process;
- on the basis of the Controller’s legitimate interests, in relation to security, preventing abuse, maintaining the website and pursuing or defending legal claims.
§5. Cookie categories
1. Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies are required for the operation of the website and for functions expressly selected by the user. They include, in particular, shopping cart support, shopping sessions, login, security and consent settings.
Necessary cookies remain active in the consent panel and cannot be disabled through that panel. They may be blocked in the browser settings, but doing so may prevent the website or store from operating correctly.
2. Functional cookies
Functional cookies may remember user settings, interface preferences or a selected website function. Where they are not required to perform a function requested by the user, they require prior consent.
3. Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies allow website traffic and user interaction to be measured. They are activated only after the user accepts the analytics category.
4. Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies may be used for advertising, remarketing, conversion measurement or advertising personalisation. This category is not used in the basic configuration of the ChemFun website.
§6. WordPress and WooCommerce
The ChemFun website is based on WordPress and uses WooCommerce to provide catalogue and online sales functionality.
WooCommerce may store cookies and browser data when the user interacts with store functions, for example by adding a product to the shopping cart.
WooCommerce technologies are used in particular to:
- recognise changes to the contents of the shopping cart,
- remember products added to the shopping cart,
- maintain the shopping session,
- operate the checkout process,
- prevent one user from seeing another user’s shopping cart,
- process an order correctly.
WordPress may also use cookies related to login and security where the user uses a customer account or an administrative account.
Blocking these cookies in the browser may result in loss of the shopping cart contents, login problems or an inability to place an order.
§7. Analytics cookies
ChemFun may use Google Analytics 4 to obtain aggregated information about how visitors use the website.
The tool may be used in particular to:
- measure the number of visits,
- analyse the popularity of pages and products,
- analyse basic traffic sources,
- identify errors and usability problems,
- improve the structure, operation and content of the website.
Google Analytics 4 is activated only after the user has accepted the analytics category, where the tool is active on the website.
Refusing analytics cookies does not affect access to the catalogue, products, shopping cart, forms or basic website functionality.
Google Search Console does not place cookies on visitors’ devices merely because the website has been added to the service. It is used by the Controller to analyse the website’s visibility in search engine results.
§8. Marketing and external services
As of the effective date of this policy, the basic configuration of the ChemFun website does not include marketing tools such as Meta Pixel, Google Ads remarketing or other advertising pixels.
If such tools are introduced:
- this Cookie Policy will be updated,
- the tools will be assigned to the marketing category,
- the marketing category will remain disabled by default,
- the tools will be activated only after consent has been obtained.
During the ordering or delivery process, the user may be redirected to an external service or use a component provided by an external operator, including:
- the Przelewy24 payment operator,
- the InPost delivery operator,
- the DPD delivery operator,
- a provider of a pickup point map or list.
External providers may use their own cookies on their websites or within components supplied by them. The scope of such use depends on the particular service and the method by which it is integrated with the ChemFun website.
Where an optional external component requires cookies or transfers data before use, it should remain blocked until the appropriate consent has been obtained or the user has actively activated the relevant function.
§9. Managing consent
During the first visit to the website, the user is provided with a cookie banner and access to the cookie settings panel.
The consent mechanism allows the user to:
- accept all categories,
- reject all optional cookies,
- select individual categories,
- save the selected settings,
- subsequently change or withdraw consent.
Optional categories are disabled by default. A lack of action by the user is not treated as consent.
Necessary cookies remain active regardless of the user’s selection, because they are required for the operation of the website, remembering the cookie decision or performing a function selected by the user.
The user may reopen the consent panel at any time by selecting the visible „Cookie settings” button available on the website.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
Information about the user’s choice is stored for up to 180 days, unless the user deletes the consent cookie earlier, changes the settings or consent must be collected again because the website configuration has changed.
§10. Managing cookies in the browser
Users may also manage cookies through their web browser settings.
Depending on the browser, users may be able to:
- delete stored cookies,
- block all cookies,
- block third-party cookies,
- configure automatic deletion of cookies,
- view cookies stored by a particular website,
- disable website storage.
Blocking all cookies may cause problems with the shopping cart, checkout, customer account, forms or the storage of consent settings.
Refusing analytics or marketing cookies should not result in the loss of basic website functionality.
§12. Changes to this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy may be amended in the event of:
- changes in applicable law,
- changes to the operation of the website or store,
- implementation of new functions, plugins or integrations,
- activation of new analytics or marketing tools,
- changes to payment or delivery operators,
- changes to the consent management mechanism,
- the need to correct or clarify the information provided.
The current version of the policy is published on the ChemFun website together with its effective date.
Where a change introduces new purposes or technologies requiring consent, the user may be asked to make a new selection in the cookie settings panel.
Questions concerning this policy may be submitted to the Controller at office@chemfun.pl .
